New Website is live

Hey everyone! Yesterday I made a small announcement of some exciting news. In case you missed the quick post on Facebook and Twitter, I have officially launched my new website. It has been a while since I’ve been this excited about my site and how it showcases my work. Read on after the break for more details.
After several arguments gentleman-like discussions with my great friend Jason Asylum (asylum-photo.com - NSFW) about Flash vs. HTML, I have made the transition from Flash to HTML. Flash has its strong and weak points, but in my case, I felt it was no longer the best fit for my site. I wanted something basic and simple that matched my brand and didn’t take away from my photographs. I wanted visitors to have fast and immediate access to my work instead of waiting for fancy load screens and menu animations. After all, they’re there to look at the photographs, not some loading screen or a menu to slide from side to side.

Galleries load much quicker now and visitors are presented with thumbnails to make navigating through the photos much easier and more friendly.

Once a thumbnail is clicked on, visitors can easily navigate from photo to photo using the arrows on the screen or even their keyboards depending on which browser is being used.
I would love to hear any thoughts on the new site in comparison with what you experienced in the past while visiting the Flash-based version. You can leave comments below if you wish to share. Thanks so much and enjoy!
